Shingani Mosque quarter

Shingani Mosque Quarter refers to the historic mosque-centered area of Shangani (Shingani) in central Mogadishu. The quarter is part of the city’s oldest historic core and is known for numerous historic mosques, narrow lanes, traditional stone buildings and Islamic architectural heritage. Jama’a Shingani, the historic Friday Mosque, is one of the quarter’s most important landmarks.
