Rue des Consuls

Rue des Consuls is one of Rabat Medina’s most famous historic streets and a major center for traditional Moroccan crafts. Named after the foreign diplomats and consuls who lived here until 1912, the pedestrian street is lined with carpet, leather, pottery, silver jewelry, babouche, textiles, and metalwork shops beneath restored decorative arcades.
