Route des Esclaves

Route Des Esclaves is a historic memorial route in Ouidah tracing the path taken by enslaved people from the town toward the Atlantic coast and the Door of No Return. The approximately 4 km route contains monuments and remembrance sites, including the former auction area, Tree of Forgetting, Tree of Return and memorials.
