Richard Kandt House

Kandt House Museum is a historic house in Kigali that was associated with German explorer and colonial administrator Richard Kandt. Built in the early 1900s, it is one of Kigali’s oldest surviving modern buildings. Today, the museum presents Rwanda’s pre-colonial life, German colonial history, Richard Kandt’s role and the historical development of Kigali.
