Popenguine is a peaceful coastal village on Senegal’s Petite Côte, approximately 70 km south of Dakar. It is known for its dramatic ochre cliffs, sandy beach, fishing-village atmosphere and the Popenguine Nature Reserve. The village is also an important Catholic pilgrimage destination because of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Délivrance.
