Pink Lake dunes

The Pink Lake Dunes are the sandy coastal dunes surrounding Lac Rose (Lake Retba), about 35–40 km northeast of Dakar. A narrow belt of dunes separates the hypersaline lake from the Atlantic Ocean, creating a distinctive landscape of pinkish water, white salt piles and golden sand. Visitors can explore the dunes by 4×4, quad bike, camel or horseback.
