Origins Centre

Origins Centre is a museum at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg dedicated to exploring Africa’s human and cultural heritage. Its exhibitions feature ancient stone tools, fossils, archaeological artefacts, and southern African rock art. Opened in 2006, the museum uses interactive displays to explore human evolution, technology, symbolism, art, San heritage, and the diverse cultural history of southern Africa.
