Mogadishu Old Port is the historic harbor area of Mogadishu, associated with the city’s long maritime trading history. The port area has served as a commercial gateway since antiquity and was modernized substantially during the Italian colonial period. Historic port structures, fishing activity and maritime landmarks such as the Secondo-Lido Lighthouse remain connected with the area.
