Mengo Palace is another name for Lubiri Palace / Kabaka’s Palace, the official royal compound of the Kabaka (King) of Buganda. Located on Mengo Hill, the historic complex includes the Twekobe royal residence, palace grounds, royal heritage displays and the underground chambers associated with Uganda’s later political history. The palace is linked to Buganda’s administrative centre, Bulange, by the Royal Mile.
