Listing Description

The Mellah is Marrakech’s historic Jewish quarter, established in 1558 under the Saadian dynasty beside the royal Kasbah. Its narrow streets, distinctive street-facing balconies, traditional markets, synagogues and Jewish cemetery preserve an important part of the city’s Jewish and Moroccan heritage. Today, it remains a historic neighborhood and popular cultural attraction.
