Mamelles Lighthouse

Mamelles Lighthouse (Phare des Mamelles) is a historic lighthouse built in 1864 on the highest of Dakar’s two Mamelles hills. Standing above the Atlantic coast, it remains an important maritime landmark and offers spectacular panoramic views of Dakar, the ocean and surrounding peninsula. The site also includes a lighthouse museum, archives, exhibition spaces and a rooftop restaurant.
