Kermel Market

Kermel Market is a historic food and souvenir market in Dakar’s Plateau district, housed in a distinctive circular iron-and-brick building. The market sells fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, meat and fish, while surrounding stalls offer flowers, jewellery, masks, sculptures and other Senegalese crafts. Its present building was reconstructed in 1997 after a major fire.
