Jan Smuts House Museum, also known as Doornkloof, preserves the former home of General Jan Smuts and his family in Irene. The wood-and-iron house contains original furniture, photographs, books, personal belongings and other artefacts reflecting his life and career. The grounds also include gardens, the Oubaas Trail, an arboretum and Ouma Isie’s Tea Garden.
