Bongoyo snorkeling sites

Bongoyo Island is one of Dar es Salaam’s most accessible snorkeling destinations, located within the protected Dar es Salaam Marine Reserve. Snorkeling is concentrated around the coral-reef areas close to the island’s main northwestern beach and surrounding shallow waters. Visitors can see colorful reef fish, coral, sea urchins, starfish and, occasionally, sea turtles.
