Bab Doukkala is a historic northwestern gate of Marrakech’s Medina, dating from the Almoravid period around 1126–1127. Built under Sultan Ali ibn Yusuf, the gate retains an unusual bent-axis entrance designed for defense. Its monumental structure, square bastions and surrounding traditional market area make it an important architectural and cultural landmark.
