Bab Agnaou
Listing Description
Bab Agnaou is one of Marrakech’s most important historic gates, built during the Almohad period around 1188–1190 under Caliph Ya’qub al-Mansur. It served as the monumental entrance to the royal Kasbah and is distinguished by its horseshoe arch, carved sandstone decoration, floral motifs and Kufic Quranic inscriptions.
