Agia Tree Monument

Agia Tree Monument is a historic landmark in Badagry, Lagos, marking the site where Christianity was first preached in Nigeria on 24 September 1842. The original tree stood for more than 300 years before being uprooted by a storm in 1959. Today, an obelisk commemorates the site, which remains an important religious and historical pilgrimage destination.
