Listing Description

Bab Debbagh, meaning “Gate of the Tanners,” is one of Marrakech’s historic eastern Medina gates, dating to the Almoravid period around 1126. The gate is notable for its unusually complex five-bend passage, defensive design and proximity to the traditional tanneries, where leatherworking has been practiced for centuries.
