Kayar fishing village day trip

Kayar is a major traditional fishing community on Senegal’s Grande Côte, about 58 km north of Dakar. The village is particularly known for its large colorful pirogues, busy fishing landing site and fish market. The most impressive activity is often when boats return from the Atlantic and catches are unloaded, sorted and sold on the beach.
