Listing Description
La lagune Somone is a scenic coastal lagoon and protected wetland on Senegal’s Petite Côte, about 77–80 km south of Dakar. The lagoon covers roughly 700 hectares and is surrounded by mangroves, sandbanks and mudflats. It is especially known for birdwatching, traditional pirogue trips, oyster harvesting and peaceful nature excursions.
