Technopole wetlands
Listing Description
The Technopole Wetlands, also known as the Grande Niaye de Pikine Urban Nature Reserve, is a large freshwater wetland ecosystem in the Dakar metropolitan area near Pikine. The reserve contains lakes, vegetation and agricultural areas and is an important habitat for resident and migratory birds. It was formally designated an urban nature reserve in 2019.
