Anwar Mosque

Anwar Mosque, also known as Grand Anwar Mosque, is a historic Islamic landmark in Addis Ababa’s Merkato district. Recognized as one of the city’s oldest and largest mosques, it features distinctive white-and-green architecture, prominent domes, and a large prayer compound. The mosque serves the local Muslim community and becomes especially significant during Ramadan and other major Islamic occasions.
