Lake Hora waterfront

Lake Hora Arsedi is a sacred volcanic crater lake in Bishoftu, Ethiopia, surrounded by steep crater slopes and mature sycamore fig trees. Its shoreline is an important cultural site for the Oromo Irreecha thanksgiving celebration and also provides opportunities for walking, birdwatching, photography, and peaceful lakeside visits. The lake is located approximately two kilometers from Bishoftu town centre.
