Johannesburg Art Gallery

Johannesburg Art Gallery (JAG) is one of Johannesburg’s most important public art institutions, established in 1910 and opened in 1915. Located beside Joubert Park, its collection spans European, South African, African, modern, and contemporary art. The gallery occupies a historic building designed by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens and supports exhibitions, education, research, and preservation of Johannesburg’s artistic heritage.
