Centre Culturel Français

The Centre Culturel Français de Cotonou is the former name of the Institut français du Bénin (IFB). Located on Avenue Jean-Paul II, the cultural centre promotes French and Beninese artistic exchange through exhibitions, cinema, theatre, music, literature, workshops, a mediatheque and cultural events. The present Institut français du Bénin operates from a building constructed in 1963 and remains an important cultural venue in Cotonou.
