Tanzania National Arts Council

The Tanzania National Arts Council, known as BASATA (Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa), is a government arts organization responsible for promoting and developing Tanzania’s creative sector. Established under the National Arts Council Act, it registers artists and arts organizations, coordinates artistic events, provides technical support, promotes cultural production, and advises the government on arts development.
